Admitted

Kendall has now been admitted to the hospital...

I'm not sure how this all happened, but she started with a croupy cough out of the blue around 10 Saturday night. It got bad really fast. I expected her to just have a quick visit to the ER, have a treatment and then come home.

But she hasn't responded to the treatments, so we have to be admitted. Her sugars are high due to the steroid. We are in the freaking hospital and I had to call the diabetic educator to find out what to do. It is simply ridiculous. And now we find ourselves without all of our supplies, pump, brand name keppra, ketocal, diluted insulin. What do you think the chances are we will have those things by tomorrow morning? Yeah. I won't hold my breath.

So say a prayer for sweet Kendall. Getting rid of this quickly and without any major complications would be awesome.

Ugh. You didn't get to go home....

I'll be praying for cough be gone, sugars back to normal and all the supplies you'll ever need to show up this morning. AND a mama that has the energy to fight for both.

I'll talk to you later.....

Oh no! I hope that she gets over the yuckies soon and you guys can go home. Will they allow you to bring your supplies and use them while inpatient? Our hospital does, as long as they can relabel them all. I hope you are HOME so soon that it doesn't matter.

Hope your little honey bun is feeling better.
I always bring all of Finnian's meds with me in a zip lock baggie. Also inside the bag we carry a list of his meds amount taken and times taken. It makes life a bit easier when you can just hand them the list.
The only med I don't take with me is the Klonopin they get a bit weird about that one so it stays home.
Hope you have a nice short stay and get home soon.
