surgery

I will make this quick and to the point.

Kendall had a seizure before surgery. I ended up yelling at the charge nurse. There have been quite a few issues with the hospital. They wouldn't do diluted humalog in the pharmacy so we had to keep talking to the right people to make it happen. I get there is protocol but when its your child its hard to be patient with all the politics.

Surgery went as planned. She has a fever now though and seems to be in a bit of pain.

I've tried to post this a few times bu haven't had any luck. I'm losing my patience with posting from my phone. Hopefully after some sleep I will be able to write a sunshine and rainbows post. But don't hold your breath.

You Go Mommy!!!!!!!!!
I do know what you mean we used to have so many issues with Finny's Keppra dose. THe lad takes mega doses of the crap and they always refuse to give it to him until they can get it approved via his doctor.
She will be sore for a few days hope her tempature is just a little bump from having the button done. Finnian was groggy from the pain meds and did not want to be bothered with anyone.
Love and hugs

You just continue to amaze me with your strength!! You don't have to be patient when it comes to your kiddo and they know that. They would all do the same for their baby. And, you don't have to do a "sunshine and rainbow" post on our account!! We come here so that we know what is going on with you guys and to give you encouraging words and keep our fingers crossed that it helps in some small way. I love you guys bunches and bunches and can't wait to read that you are getting to go home!!!

Life isn't always sunshine & rainbows. It is what it is & this is YOUR blog! So there!

Now, good for you for standing up for Kendall. I would be sure to talk to the patient advocate, the head nurse & write a letter to administration. I know that you are busy, but trust me. The charge nurse can only fix it right there. Nothing will change unless you move up.

Take care, hope she is doing better today & as always, will say a prayer for you & yours.

Glad it's over. Rest up my friend. No shine shine and rainbows - and that's ok.

Prayers are with you all!!!
